Garlic Pita Chips
I am hopelessly addicted to your products. This is a simple recipe that I came up with for Pita Chips. – Russell Mercer, Bismarck, MO
12 pita bread pockets
1/2 cup Boyajian Garlic Oil
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper (optional)
1 teaspoon minced garlic (optional) for even stronger garlic flavor
1/2 teaspoon Boyajian Basil Oil and / or Oregano Oil (optional)
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Cut each pita bread in half and then into 8 pizza type triangles. Place triangles on foil lined cookie sheet. In a bowl, combine the garlic oil, pepper, garlic, and other oils. Brush each triangle with oil mixture.
Bake in the preheated oven for about 7 minutes, or until lightly browned and crispy. Works well in regular oven or in toaster / convection oven. Monitor closely.
Excellent for tapenades and dips or served with soup and salad.
